Co-Branding

Can you bring a customized WSN to a niche market? Co-brand and sell the script, splitting your sales revenue with WSN.

The basics:

• It's your product. You put it on your own website, select your own name for the script, do your own marketing, and handle the first line of support.
• You may set your own price -- charge $20 or $900 if you wish. When total cobranded script sales revenue (subtracting VAT for Europeans) is under $1000 USD (at google's exchange rate if you sell in another currency) in a given month, it shall be split 50-50 (you keep half and send half to WSN). When between $1000 and $1799, the cobrander shall keep 55%. When between $1800 and $2799, the cobrander shall keep 60%. From $2800 to $4999, the cobrander keeps 65%. From $5000 to $7999, the cobrander keeps 70%. From $8000 on up, 75%.
• For language-based cobranders, you get exclusive rights as the only cobrander with sales and marketing targeted at your language.
• If you do not make any sales for a period of 2 months after you open for business, or you don't open for business within 6 months, the contract may (optionally) be terminated. Note: this condition is negotiable.
• Your product should fill a niche need which WSN doesn't properly address. For example, a Spanish version with the admin panel translated marketed to Spanish speakers with Spanish support would qualify. Some sorts of customizations won't require PHP knowledge (translations or other special template/field sets such as a software directory), while others may involve significant PHP work (a pay-per-click bidding version, for example). Naturally if you select a project that involves PHP you'd best know PHP, as developing your product will be largely your responsibility.
• Support for your product's customers will be directly handled by you, but with help. When you don't know the answer to a question (or a bug is reported, etc) you may relay the question through the WSN support channels, and then bring the answer back to your customer. Since this is slow, arrangements can be made for IM-based support (though there will be no guarantees of availability). Note that phone support will not be available. Copies of the knowledge base and introductory manual are provided to you to pass on to your customers.
• Feel free to co-brand any of the other WSN scripts (Links, Gallery, KB, Forum), or even all of them at once if you're doing language cobranding.
